One third of the women between the ages from 15 to 70 globally have experienced some form of intimate partner violence (IPV). While the prevalence amongst men is less well-documented, it is widely agreed upon that men experience IPV too. In recent years, there has been increasing attention to both prevention and consequences of IPV. A factor related to IPV is childhood trauma (CT). This study examines if Pathological Affective Dependence moderates the association between IPV and CT and gives suggestions for both clinical practice and research.
