The Life and Work of Rumi: Still a Source of Inspiration

Last modified on 05-11-2026 13:52
More than seven centuries after his death, the Persian poet and Sufi mystic Jalal ad-Din Rumi (1207–1273) is still read all over the world. In the United States, he is even among the best-selling poets. This is remarkable at a time when political relations between the United States and Iran are so tense.
