A disability or chronic illness can affect your studies, making learning more difficult and requiring extra time and energy. Sometimes it’s visible (for example, if you are blind or use a wheelchair), but often it’s not. Invisible disabilities include dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, autism, or a mental health condition.
If you have questions about support for attending classes or sitting exams, the UvA is here to help. Depending on your situation, the UvA offers different forms of support so you can study as smoothly as possible. During the session, study advisers and UvA Ideas will explain how to arrange these practical matters.
