
The presentation is an introductory overview of current psychedelic science, covering general effects, risks, history, and therapeutic application of psychedelic substances.
Josjan received his PhD in child psychiatry after performing EEG and fMRI neuroimaging studies on the neural correlates of antisocial behavior in young adults. He currently works as an assistant professor at the Amsterdam University Medical Center. His research focuses on the understanding and applicability of psychedelics substances, as well as big-data mental health research in the child psychiatric DREAMS consortium. He also coordinates two Honours Program Courses: one on the history, neuroscience, and therapeutic potential of psychedelics, and one the importance of rationality both inside and outside of academia.
