Most student projects start from a clean dataset and an invented problem. This one doesn't. Waterschap AGV, the water authority for Amsterdam and the area around it, TAI and VLE Global each bring a challenge from their own work, with their own data. Mentors from partners spends the whole day with the teams, and at the end you pitch to them.

You don't need to be an AI student for this hackaton.

Water is about cities, policy, design and people as much as it is about models, so we're putting engineers and data scientists in the same teams as law, design and business students. Sign up solo or with friends and we'll mix the teams.

It doesn't have to end at the pitch either. The strongest teams get the chance to join the UvA Impact Challenge and gain access to the UvA Founder Space community.

Open to Bachelor's and Master's students from any university. The event is free and food is provided.
