Programme
This event is in Dutch.
Why do bystanders choose to intervene – or not – when a woman is being harassed in the street? What role does sexual street culture play in normalising transgressive behaviour?
That’s what we will talk about during 'Actie Aletta'. You won’t be a spectator, but a participant. After an opening conversation with guest speakers, you will get to work: together with others you will contribute ideas, exchange views and formulate concrete solutions.
Prof. Liza Mügge will be present as an expert on behalf of the UvA. The exact programme will be announced in the run-up to the event
What do we want to achieve?
Besides talking to each other, we'll also work together towards the goal of drawing up concrete recommendations that contribute to the freedom and safety of women. These recommendations will be compiled and will form the basis for advice to the government. In this way, we move from awareness to structural change.
Actie Aletta: campaigning for women’s safety
Actie Aletta is a national tour in which government, education and civil society organisations join forces for the freedom and safety of women. You are invited to contribute – as a student, professional or engaged citizen.
