This thesis investigates how feelings of embitterment—arising from perceived injustice—relate to loneliness. Using data from 101 adults, the study found that higher embitterment was linked to greater loneliness. Contrary to expectations, personality functioning did not change this relationship. These findings suggest that embitterment’s connection to loneliness may be broadly experienced, regardless of individual personality differences.
