This study investigates whether emphasizing attitude importance influences resistance to changing attitudes toward meat reduction. It also examines whether this resistance can be explained by psychological reactance, a process in which people perceive their freedom to perform certain behaviours as threatened and are motivated to regain it by engaging in the restricted behaviour.
