As a UvA student, you can participate in the Mental Workout (Dutch: Mentale Wasstraat). This evening focuses on mental resilience. You'll learn how to cope with challenges to find peace in a world full of stimuli. Practical, down-to-earth, and surprisingly enjoyable.

Using several methods from positive psychology

The Mental Workout is a unique collaboration between science, well-being, and experience, developed by Levi van Dam (professor by special appointment in Resilient Development). Through breathwork, ice baths, and sharing circles, you'll gain tools to help you find greater calm, feel more confident, and better handle challenges - both mentally and physically.
