On Wednesday the 1st of October the Student Impact Centre will organise a film screening of the movie 'Flow' for Science Faculty students who are on the autism spectrum (diagnosed or not), along with a short film and a lecture. There will also be room for food, drink, and a discussin.

This evening, we'll watch Flow and Mind my Mind. Flow Op deze avond kijken we Flow en Mind my Mind. Flow is an animation movie, without dialogue, about a cat who is trying to survive during a great flood. Before the main film we will show the short animation film 'Mind my Mind' about a young man with autism who meets a woman he likes. The animation shows all the things that are going on in his head.

The evening will be as followed:

  • 17:00 – 17:15 Walk in C0.110
  • 17:15 – 17:45 Short: Mind my Mind 
  • 17:45 – 18:45 Discussion/reflection on film together or by yourself with dinner in the cafeteria
  • 18:45 – 19:05 Short lecture by Carina Hoorn 
  • 19:05 – 20:30 Film: FLOW
  • 20:30 - End of movie, option to stay for a chat and a drink at Brainwave

fter the short film we will hand out conversation cards and vouchers for the cafeteria so you can eat in together and discuss the film, if you like. Before the main movie there will be a short lecture on climate change and flooding by Dr. Carina Hoorn (IBED). After the movie you can stay for a drink. The screening will take place at Science Park 904 in C0.110. 

During our events you can always bring your own food and take a break whenever you want. We will provide a space for you to do this. It is possible to join at any point of the evening (except while the movies are already playing) or leave early if the whole program is too much for you. Whatever makes you feel comfortable in behavior and/or clothing is welcomed: come as you are!
