From Tuesday 1 December, the Library will be offering extra study spaces in the P.C. Hoofthuis Library, and it will also be possible to book a space in the large meeting room in the University Library Singel. Are you looking for space to study? You can now make a maximum of three reservations per week!
The Library increases the maximum number of reservations per person. Students and staff of the UvA can now make three reservations per week instead of two.
As of today, UvA students and staff can make use of study spaces in the P.C. Hoofthuis Library. The Library makes 50 study places available from Monday to Friday, from 10.00 - 17.00 hours. Don't forget to reserve a study space in advance and keep an eye on the location page for the most current opening hours per location.
A new addition to the Library's offer is the meeting room in the University Library Singel. Groups of up to four people can work together here, observing the RIVM rules and measures. In contrast to the individual study spaces in the University Library Singel, in the meeting room it is permitted to talk. Please bear in mind that when you come with a group, everyone from that group has reserved a study space in advance.
Don't forget to bring a face mask when you come to the Library. As from Tuesday 1 December, face masks must be worn by everyone moving around inside the UvA buildings, including all library locations. You may remove your face mask once you have taken your seat. When you move around, you must wear a face mask again, even if only to move to another study space.
