The Student Service Desk on the Amsterdam Roeterseiland Campus will open on Monday, 4 August. The desk brings together the services of the current Service and Information Centre (SIC) and some of the services of your Student Desk.

student service desk

The Student Service Desk is the first point of contact for general questions about studying at the UvA, such as:

  • enrolment
  • student grants and loans
  • studying abroad

It is also the place for general questions about your study programme, such as:

  • course and exam registration
  • teaching timetables

The SIC in the city centre (Binnengasthuisstraat) will also offer this combined service from 4 August and is therefore being renamed ‘Student Service Desk’.

Specific and personal questions

The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences will still have its own Student Desks alongside the Student Service Desks. You will continue to go to them with specific and personal questions related to your study programme, such as degree certificate requests and academic counselling.

The Student Service Desk on the Amsterdam Roeterseiland Campus is located in REC C1.01 (Nieuwe Achtergracht 166). The address for the city centre Student Service Desk remains unchanged: Binnengasthuisstraat 9. The opening hours are being extended and are now 8:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, for both locations. Both desks can be reached by phone at: +31(0)20 525 8080.
