Pregnant? Talk to your study adviser
If you get pregnant, it is important that you make an appointment with the study adviser of your degree programme as soon as possible to see whether adjustments need to be made to your curriculum. It might also be important to establish contact with your study adviser if you are a student-parent. You might want to discuss whether adjustments may be made to your curriculum, or that your child is sick and that this might cause a study delay.
Facilities for expressing breast milk
There are rooms at the university that mothers may use for expressing breast milk. The options available vary from one campus to the other. Please contact your study adviser for the options available for your degree programme.
Financial support
Profiling Fund
If your pregnancy or the birth of your child causes a delay in your study progress, and if you meet the criteria, you may qualify for financial support from the university. The basic principle is that this support is given for up to 4 months. Make an appointment with a student counsellor to discuss this.
