The emergency line will be answered within 30 seconds. This telephone number is only for emergencies. Emergencies include: sudden and serious health problems, accidents, life-threatening situations and acute crisis situations.

Evenings, nights or weekends: +31 (0)88 0030 600

For emergencies during the evening, night or  weekend, you can contact Amsterdam’s after-hours doctors’ clinic (Huisartsenposten Amsterdam). You can only visit the after-hours doctors’ clinic if you called ahead to make an appointment

Please note: If it is a life-threatening situation, press 9 to prioritise your call over other incoming calls.

  • Keep your insurance information on hand. 
  • When your call is answered, you will be asked to explain the problem. You will then receive advice over the phone or an appointment at the closest after-hours doctors’ clinic (Huisartsenpost). If necessary, a doctor can make a house call.
