Advice and support

The General Practitioners Practice UvA offers various forms of support for students who aren’t feeling good about themselves and find it difficult to ask for help.

Asking for help isn’t easy

Research has shown that many students regularly have health concerns or experience extreme anxiety. This can have a debilitating effect on their lives and studies, and may prevent them from seeking help or finding it in time.

General Practitioners Practice UvA has developed a website that provides students with information about these types of problems and where to find help. If you are wondering what sort of help might be available for you, visit the Ik-student website for more information.

Healthy study habits and study-related stress

General Practitioners Practice UvA has developed a website offering tips on how to maintain your physical and mental health. It also provides information about study skills and includes an overview of student-oriented medical services in Amsterdam and other cities.

Test your health and receive feedback

Students report lower levels of health than their contemporaries. How is your health? Fill in the list of questions and receive personal feedback by email. Your scores will be compared to those of your fellow students. The information will remain anonymous and will not be recorded in a medical file.
