This webpage provides you with the most important information about the application for the Master’s Certificate.
When all marks of all study components (including the research project) are registered in SIS, Master students can apply for their diploma (Master's certificate) by filling in the form on the following website: https://datanose.nl/#graduatio. Furthermore, the reports of the research projects and literature review have to be uploaded in our database (see Submitting your Master Thesis).

In case you need a confirmation of graduation letter you can visit the DUO website (www.mijndiplomas.nl) to download a certificate. This is an official document published by DUO.

The system also generates an e-mail to the library, where the thesis will be filed in the archive.
If there are no objections from the supervisor and the student against publication the thesis will subsequently be disclosed.
In case a student objects to publication on the internet he/she, apart from uploading the thesis, has to send an e-mail to the Education Service Centre with the request not to publish the thesis (and the student's name); your thesis will be stored in the archive.
Students who have successfully passed the final examination will be awarded the Master of Science degree. The degree awarded will be noted on the certificate. An appendix to the certificate, signed by the Chairperson of the Examination Board and stating the components of the final examination, the studyload and the assessment, will be issued.
A graduation ceremony for the Master Security and Network Engineering will be held once a year.

The Examinations Board is an independent committee of which the members are appointed by the Dean of the Faculty. The Examinations Board is responsible for the quality of examinations and for the issue of degrees of the Master's programme. The Board assesses requests and complaints concerning the Education and Examinations Regulations.
The designation of ‘cum laude’ (with distinction) is added to your diploma in recognition of exceptional performance. Such an allocation by the Examinations Board is based on rules stated in the Rules and Guidelines of the Examinations Board.
In order to find out whether you have shown exceptional competence as a student you need to consult the Rules and Guidelines of the Examinations Board. Here you will find the conditions for the designation of ‘cum laude’, such conditions may be: no component is marked with less than a seven (7), the result for the Master’s thesis is at least an eight (8), the weighted average of all Master’s programme components, excluding the Master’s thesis, is at least an eight (8). These conditions vary per study programme.
