Forgotten your password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can create a new one from the login page of the account management portal This page has an ‘I forgot my password’ link. Simply click the link and answer the verification questions. Once you have answered them correctly, you will receive an email or text message with the information that you need to set up a new password. After you have visited the portal to create a new password, you will once again be able to use your UvAnetID.

PLEASE NOTE: change your password on all your smartphones and tablets to prevent your account from being blocked.

In the event that your new password is not functional within half an hour, please contact one of the Library service desks or the Student Service Desk.

This option is only available if the UvA has your private email address or if you have provided a mobile phone number in . If the UvA does not have your email address or mobile number, you can have your password changed at one of the Library information desks. Note that you will have to provide a valid proof of identity.
