Are you feeling lonely or isolated? Are you struggling to connect with others? You are not alone! 

For many students, university can be a stressful and challenging time. With university comes change and with change come feelings of insecurity, vulnerability and loneliness.

Feeling lonely is generally something we don’t talk about easily or admit to ourselves and others. 

In 6 support sessions we will open up and share our feelings (which will be helpful in itself). We will also address how you can manage feelings of loneliness and isolation. We will work on a compassionate mindset, which will help you support and connect to yourself and others.

Dates and times 2020-2021

  • Sept-Nov 2021: start date Wednesday 16 September 2020, from 10:30-12:00
  • Nov 2020-Jan 2021: Wednesday 25 November, 2, 9, 16 December 2020, 13 and 20 January 2021, from 14:00-16:00
  • Mar-Apr 2021: Thursday 4, 11, 18, 25 March, 1 and 8 April 2021, from 09:30-11:30

Practical information

  • This training is free of charge and will be offered online.
  • Attending all 6 sessions is required.
  • You can register if you are currently studying at the UvA or the HvA or graduated no more than 1 year ago.
  • Registration is possible from 10 weeks up to 2 days in advance.
  • After registration, you’ll receive specific information about your login and information how to participate.
  • Please note: Demand for this training often exceeds the available spots. We kindly ask you to register once you’re sure that you will attend only.
