All UvA students will be issued a UvAnetID, which consists of a username and password, and offers access to various digital UvA resources.
Among other things, your UvAnetID provides access to:
- Wi-Fi (the 'uva' and 'eduroam' networks)
- Digital Library
- UvA study space
- SURFspot.nl. SURFspot is the not-for-profit ICT web shop where you can purchase software at a reduced price from renowned suppliers such as Adobe, Norton, McAfee and Microsoft. In addition, SURFspot offers a special education discount on software, cloud services and hardware. Attention: You won't be able to log in on SURFspot with your student account untill two weeks prior to the start of your study programme. For example: If your study programme starts on 3 September, you won't be able to log in to SURFspot untill 20 August.

ICT code of conduct
Everyone granted access to UvAnet must abide by the ICT code of conduct which was drawn up by the UvA Board and which forms an integral part of the UvAnet Regulations.
