Some administrative positions in the board of a study association or student association or a representative advisory body demand so much time that they can cause a delay in completing your studies. The UvA has laid down the ‘Regulations on Administrative Body Membership Grants at the University of Amsterdam’ for financial reimbursement to cover delays in completing studies as a result of administrative activities. Students who are members of a representative advisory body or who hold an administrative position with a study association or a student organisation can qualify for a grant (Administrative Body Membership Grant).
Regulations on Administrative Body Membership Grants
The Profiling Fund Regulations for 2017-2018 also apply to 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.
The extent of the grant is expressed in a number of monthly payment installments. Every year, the Executive Board determines the number of monthly payment installments of Administrative Body Membership Grants to be allocated to each association and organisation. The number is dependent on the number of members and the extent of the administrative activities. The recognition and allocation of monthly payment installments is set out in the Annexes of the regulations. There is a new list for 2019-2020.
Sections 3 and 4 of the 2017-2018 Profiling Fund Regulations provide information about the Administrative Body Membership Grants for student organisations and UvA representative advisory bodies respectively.
The administrative budget will no longer be issued as a payment. Board members can only apply for an individual grant themselves.
The deadline for grant applications for student organisations (study and student associations and foundations) is 1 November. Administrative bodies which will have a change of board between 1 November and 1 May can request a deadline extension.
