Use Studielink to request (re-)enrolment in an UvA degree programme. This requires a DigiD (NB. if you apply for a DigiD or make any changes to it, you will receive an activation code within 5 days). Once you have (re-)enroled in Studielink, it may take up to 48 hours before you can register for courses.
Go to the Course Catalogue, find your degree programme and select the courses you want to take.
Go to uva.nl/courseregistration, find your courses and click on ‘Add Course’.
Go to the Planner tab, check the boxes for the tutorials (WG) [or other course components] you wish to follow and click on 'Register' and then on ‘OK’.
Go to the 'Overview of registrations’ tab and check your registrations.
You can cancel course registrations at uva.nl/courseregistration. Go to the ‘Overview of registrations’ tab, check the box next to the course you wish to cancel and click on 'Deregister' and then on ‘OK’. Please note that you can unenroll from a course until one week before the course starts. (For Research Master's students: until one week before the block where the course is taught in starts).
Please note: it is important to deregister for courses you do not plan to take. If you do not attend a course for which you registered, the result recorded for this course will be ‘NAP’ (the Dutch abbreviation for ‘non-attendance, counted as exam attempt’). Moreover, you will be preventing a fellow student from taking your place in the course.
