After months of restrictions due to the corona pandemic, the first offline exam period is here! The Library expects busy exam weeks again and is therefore offering extra study places. Various lecture rooms are available for studying during the exam period and the Vondelkerk is also used as a study location. In addition, several library locations have extended opening hours.
See the Library's study spaces page for opening times and keep an eye on the information screens on campus for additional study rooms.
A stricter access policy applies during examination periods. Please note that the Library is only accessible with a valid UvA student or staff card. External users can only pick up or return books; it is not possible to use study spaces.
During the exam period, extra study rooms can be found in REC A with extended opening hours.
On the weekend of 23 and 24 October, the Library is longer open: from 09:00 - 20:00.
For extra rooms available at Science Park, see Datanose, inquire with your study association or at the Library desk.
Those students looking for a special place to study can visit the Vondelkerk (Vondelstraat, 120) from 20 to 27 October. 50 study places are available from 09:00 - 19:00. There is free coffee, tea and WiFi. Advanced booking is required.
The so-called Onlinebrary is open 24/7. You can start your own study session and invite fellow students to it, or see who is currently studying online.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays there are study sessions supervised by student employees of the Library from 09:00 - 18:00.
In the new Library Mobile app you will also find the current opening hours and you can read where you can find one of the more than 4500 study places in the Library. You can also see if a study place with a PC is available.
If you are working on a paper or research project with other students, you can reserve a meeting room via the app via the link with the Mapiq reservation system.
