Study adviser

BSc in Political Science

Our study advisers offer the following services:

  • information on the various options available within the degree programme;
  • advice on advanced programmes;
  • advice on planning your study programme, e.g. with regard to electives, Honours programmes, minors or in the event that you have incurred a study completion delay;
  • complaints regarding degree programmes, lecturers, exam results, etc.;
  • referrals to lecturers, committees and bodies within or outside of the faculty;
  • advice on individual situations, with regard to, for example, high-level competitive athleticism, combining work and studies, personal circumstances, study problems, such as doubts about your studies, temporarily or permanently discontinuing your studies or transferring to a different degree programme.

The study advisers

Ms Grace Coert, Ms Bianca de Groot and Ms Florien Pals serve as study advisers for the Bachelor's programmes. Ms Kim Ribbink serves as study adviser for the Master's programme. All conversations with the study adviser are confidential.

Any questions can also be put to the Education Desk Social Sciences (every day between 9:00 a.m. – 05:00 p.m.). You can also send an e-mail to Although the advisers will strive to answer your questions within five days, the process may take longer during busy periods.

Open Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. Staff can also be reached on 020-525 3777.

Appointments are generally scheduled for a fifteen-minute period. If necessary, you can make a double appointment.

Students – Bachelor's students only – with brief questions can make use of the open office consultation hours on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
