The Personal Education Programme (PEP) is created for every student who follows one of the master programmes.
An education programme will be decided in consultation with the master coordinator. The master coordinator of the chosen programme can provide all the details with respect to the compulsory courses (content and number).
Your personal education programme has to be committed to paper using a PEP form, which serves both as a study file and a timetable. There are two PEP forms: one for the Research variant and one for the Major. This does not apply to the master Mathematical Physics, which only has a Research variant. The PEP form contains different tables reflecting the different phases of the study. Course title, period, and workload have to be recorded. In the “planning” column, the required starting date of that particular part of the master study has to be indicated.
The master coordinator will make up the PEP form, and students will receive a copy. The original PEP form will be sent to the Examination Board. Any subsequent changes to the PEP form can only be arranged by the master coordinator, after which an updated version is created and a copy sent to the Examination Board.
This form with the definite study programme has to be submitted to the Examination Board at least 4 months before the application deadline of the MSc. diploma. The Examination Board judges the programme and informs the student of the decision. When the PEP is approved, it is still possible to make changes to the programme. This has to be done in consultation with the track coordinator, and requires a new decision by the Examination Board.
