Mindfulness (6 x 2 hours)

Online training: learn to be fully present and aware

For you?

Do you have trouble dealing with stress? Do you find it hard to focus and concentrate? This training, consisting of 6 meetings, will learn you mindfulness techniques to help you deal with tensions and reduce negative thinking. During the course, you will learn how to develop mindfulness through meditation. Mindfulness means being aware of what is happening in your experience - in your mind and your body. This helps you to take better care of yourself.

This training is offered in English and is open to Dutch and English-speaking students.

  • Start September 2020: Thursday 10 September 2020, from 09:00-11:00
  • Start October 2020: Wednesday 7 October 2020, from 13:00-15:00
  • Start November 2020: Wednesday 4 November 2020, from 09:30-11:30
  • Start January 2021: Monday 11 January 2021, from 09:00-11:00
  • Start January 2021: Wednesday 27 January 2021, from 14:00-16:00
  • Start February 2021: Wednesday 3 February 2021, from 09:30-11:30
  • Start March 2021: Thursday 18 March 2021, from 13:00-15:00
  • Start May 2021: Tuesday 11 May 2021, from 19:00-21:00

Practical information

  • This training is offered in English and is also open to Dutch-speaking students.
  • This training is free of charge and will be offered online.
  • Attending all 6 sessions is required.
  • You can register if you are currently studying at the UvA or the HvA or graduated no more than 1 year ago.
  • Registration is possible from 10 weeks up to 2 days in advance.
  • After registration, you’ll receive specific information about your login and information how to participate.
  • Please note: Demand for this training often exceeds the available spots. We kindly ask you to register once you’re sure that you will attend only.
