You can use the multifunctional printers in the study centres to print, scan and copy documents. The multifunctional printers can be found in different locations. Spacefinder (MapiQ)External link helps you locate the facilities in the different buildings.

Printing at a UvA location

When printing, keep the following in mind

  • Want to print, but you don't have your student card with you? Log into uva.canon.nlExternal link and request a pin code. This code will allow you to identify yourself at the printer of your choice and print out your document. The pin code is valid until Sunday Night. You will need to create a new pin code every Monday morning.
  • Print and copy jobs can only be paid for with an activated UvA student ID card with sufficient credit. Do you still need to activate your student ID card? Take a look at how to activate your student ID card.
  • Collect your print jobs from any Follow Me printer at the University of Amsterdam. The print jobs will remain available for a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Print jobs print in in black and white A4 format by default. In addition, the printers in the study centres are set to double-sided printing. If you wish, you can also print your document single-sided. A black and white print costs €0.05 and a colour print €0.15; scanning is free of charge.

Scanning

All multifunctional printers are suitable for scanning documents. Scans can be saved on a brought USB-drive or they can be sent to your e-mail. In the UB Singel there is a stand-alone bookscanners available with a USB-port.
