All higher education programmes in the Netherlands must have a set of Teaching and Examination Regulations. In Dutch this is referred to as the Onderwijs- en Examenregeling, or OER.

For the Master's programmes the regulations are defined in the Teaching and Examination Regulations (in Dutch: Onderwijs- en Examenregeling -OER). The present year's OER is always the one that applies for all students.The OER consists of two parts:

The Rules and Guidelines have been set by the Examinations Board for the organisation of Examinations, Judicium, Exemptions, etc.The Rules and Guidelines and Teaching and Examination Regulations apply for each student of the Faculty.
