The Amsterdam Law School has several student associations. The student associations are linked to a particular study or different studies. They organise activities for students to participate in alongside their studies to meet other students and future employers.
ALFA, the Amsterdam Law and Finance Association, is the study association linked to the Master's in Law an Finance. In addition to the regular curriculum, ALFA offers a platform for students to learn more about the world of law and finance.
ASA International Law is the study association for anyone interested in international law. ASA organises an annual trip to The Hague and Geneva, career events, lectures and get-togethers to bring you into contact with other students interested in international law. In addition, they will introduce you to the professional practice in international law.
The European Law Students Association (ELSA) is a European network of law students. ELSA is active in 40 countries. ELSA Amsterdam introduces you to an international legal career: you will visit international law firms, in Amsterdam and Brussels and beyond. ELSA invites ambassadors and international judges to tell you how they got this far. In addition, they organise master classes, workshops and trips to prepare you for the skills you will need later on.
