A student counsellor supports, provides advice and informs students. You can ask questions or have problems that are not directly related to the curriculum (the content of your study programme), but to you as a person. Consultations with a student counsellor are confidential.
The Study Adviser affiliated with your programme is available to answer questions that are directly related to your studies, e.g. your study programme, academic plan, individual circumstances, etc. If you are in doubt as to where to pose a question, you should first contact your Study Adviser who will then refer you to a Student counsellor if needed.
You do not necessarily need a referral; you can make an appointment with a Student Counsellor without going through your academic study adviser.
