  • Can I use the open Wi-Fi network?

The ‘UvA Open Wi-Fi’ network is an unsecured network provided for visitors without an UvA-net ID or who do not work for an educational institute with access to the ‘eduroam’ wireless network. Open Wi-Fi is not as fast as ‘eduroam’ and requires users to log with each use. It is best to always use the ‘eduroam’ wireless network, which is faster and more secure.
