The Programme Committee is an advisory and consultative body at programme level. It is a platform where students can have a say in their study programme and can join lecturers in thinking of ways to improve the quality and content of teaching and education. Programme Committees are instituted for a particular study programme or group of study programmes.
A Programme Committee is instituted by law. The Programme Committee consists of an equal representation of both lectures and students. The Dutch Higher Education and Research Act (WHW) defines the duties of the Programme Committee as follows:
In addition, the Programme Committees at the Faculty of Humanities are also asked to nominate courses for the Faculty Education Award.
