As a UvA student, you will be able to make use of online and offline study facilities. Your UvA student card and UvAnetID will give you access to these study facilities and more.


The UvAnetID that you have received offers access to various digital UvA resources, such as the online library and the digital learning environment Canvas. For everything you need to know about your UvA-netID, visit: 

Student ID card

When you become a student at the UvA, you have to request a Student ID card. For this you need a UvAnetID. Your student ID card will allow you to borrow books from the library and make use of coffee and vending machines in the canteens.

Libraries and study centres

Via the link below, you will find an overview of the UvA libraries and study centres. To borrow books from the UvA libraries and be allowed to enter the libraries in the evenings and on weekends, you will need an activated UvA student ID card.

    In SIS you will find an overview of all matters to do with your registration at the UvA. You will find an overview of the courses you are enrolled for, your study results and your timetable.
