When you become a student at the UvA, you have to request a Student ID card. For this you need a UvAnetID. Your student ID card will allow you to borrow books from the library and make use of coffee and vending machines in the canteens.
Via the link below, you will find an overview of the UvA libraries and study centres. To borrow books from the UvA libraries and be allowed to enter the libraries in the evenings and on weekends, you will need an activated UvA student ID card.
