Research master’s students of the Graduate School of Humanities are required to take three tutorials in which they focus on a specific field, theoretical approach or topic within the discipline of their studies or their specific research interest.
The tutorials serve as an instructive apprenticeship where students acquire the necessary experience in conducting academic research in a domain that interests them and in which the supervising tutor is specialised. Research master's students also attend seminars, conferences or workshops at one of the many research schools in the Netherlands for credits. Depending on the sort of courses offered by the research schools, the credits obtained there can also be registered as a tutorial.
See the pdf below for more information about tutorials at the Graduate School of Humanities.
