Certified copy degree certificate

You will be notified by the Education Desk as soon as your degree certificate has been entered into SIS. The data will also be passed on to DUO.

  • Students with a DigiD can view their degree certificate online and download a certified copy via the DUO website.
  • Students who do not have a DigiD can request a confirmation of graduation letter and a list of marks from the Education Desk via the Digital Student Service Desk. However, it is not possible to certify this confirmation letter and list of marks.

How to collect the degree certificate?

If you cannot be present at the graduation ceremony, please make an appointment with the Education Desk to collect your degree certificate. Note that a minimum of four weeks between the date of examination and your graduation ceremony is needed to proceed your request.

You will always receive a message from the Education Desk when your diploma is ready. If you haven't received that message yet, there is no point in making an appointment.

Unable to collect the degree certificate yourself?

If you are unable to collect the degree certificate at the Education Desk yourself, you have two possibilities:

1. Authorise another person
2. Send the certificate by express delivery

Authorise another person

You may authorise another person by means of the form below. Print the form, complete the required information and sign it. The form indicates what additional documents the authorised person needs to bring on the date of collection.

Collect your degree by post

A situation might occur in which you are unable to attend a graduation ceremony or collect your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree certificate at the College and Graduate School of Humanities, (UvA). In this case, you can ask the Education Desk of Humanities to send the certificate to you by express delivery. Please fill in the Liability waiver and send it to:
