Students are entitled to feedback on their academic performance. How this is organised is described in the course manual.

By receiving feedback about your academic performance, you gain insight into the extent to which you have mastered the right knowledge and skills.

Feedback can take various forms. Normally, the form chosen depends on the teaching and assessment format and the number of students. If the group of students is large, feedback may not be organised on an individual basis, at least not principally. Below is an overview of possible feedback methods for various assessment formats.

1. Written exams with open questions

  • opportunity to inspect marked exams, either as a group or by appointment;
  • Q&A session.

2. Written exams with multiple choice questions

  • publication of standards/cut-off score and answers on Canvas.

3. Paper

  • completed assessment form;
  • group discussion;
  • individual appointment with the lecturer.

4. Presentation

  • group discussion following the presentation;
  • completed assessment form.

5. Oral exams

  • oral feedback (usually immediately following the exam, possibly later if recordings have been made), based on an assessment form.

6. Work placement (Internship)

  • regular meetings during the placement with the supervising lecturer and the work placement supervisor;
  • final interview with the supervising lecturer and work placement supervisor to discuss the placement report, based on an assessment form.

7. Final thesis

  • regular meetings with fellow students in a thesis tutorial;
  • regular meetings with the supervisor.
