Binding Study Advice
A Binding Study Advice (BSA) is applicable to all Bachelor’s programmes at the UvA. A BSA means that you are required to obtain a certain minimum number of credits in the courses taken during the first year of enrolment in your Bachelor’s programme. If you are unable to do this and if there are no special circumstances applicable to you, you will receive a negative BSA and will not be permitted to continue your programme. Each student receives this advice (positive or negative) at the end of their first year of study. To find out the number of credits required for the BSA of your degree programme, please refer to your student website on student.uva.nl/en.
Yes, you may submit a re-enrolment application even if you do not yet know whether your BSA is negative or positive. This application can be cancelled later.
