Student life can be exciting, but it's also challenging. During the EB Mental Health Week you can participate in workshops and activities to boost your mental health. A former F16 pilot shares his experiences on the power of your mindset, when dealing with stressful situations. You can also join workshops about time- or stress management, practice the Japanese art of paper folding (origami) or participate in a relaxing chair yoga session.
This week is organised by students, for students, in collaboration with the Economics and Business (EB) student council. It’s an opportunity check-in with yourself and exchange tips with fellow students on how to take care of your mental health. You’ll also learn more about the support services that are available at UvA EB.

Jumping out of a flying F-16 with your ejector seat: sounds stressful? A former F16 pilot experienced this himself. Yet, he did not experience this as such. He trained for years to deal with these kinds of disaster scenarios. He shares his experience and teaches us an important lesson: never underestimate the power of your mindset. With the right mindset you can do much more than you think.
Feeling tensed after studying for hours in the library? Time to take a break and move! Join this active workshop with yoga exercises that you can do while sitting at your desk.
