You are e researcher or student of the UvA with an idea that possibly creates a positive impact on society. Then register your idea for the Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award (AmSIA), the competition for research based innovative ideas.

The best idea’s in one of the categories Society, Health and Environment & Climate, inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, have a chance to win one of three prizes of € 10,000 each!

But there is more that makes it worthwhile. Participation in this competition provides an excellent opportunity to get feedback on your idea from experts in the field and to explore the potential of your idea. Finalists receive a pitch training in which you learn to present your idea on stage to a curious jury. Further IXA will provide you with PR opportunities to get your idea out there.

  • Festive finale on 9 November 2021 at Nemo Science Museum

For whom?

AmSIA  is open to (teams of) researchers, staff and students from all Amsterdam universities, universities of applied sciences, academic medical centres and public research centres. The competition encourages submissions of ideas from all research disciplines and domains.
