Study rooms and libraries

If you find it difficult to concentrate on studying at home, you can go to one of the UvA’s 20 libraries/study centres.

  • Before you jump on the bike: check which locations have enough study places available.
  • You can, of course, take your own laptop, and there is  wireless internet almost everywhere.

Searching for information

Successful studying also entails: searching for academic information successfully.

That cannot often simply be found via Google. The University Library of the UvA (UBA) offers books, magazines, e-books and e-journals; all available via the search box on the UB website.

Becoming information savvy

How are your   library skills? Do you know how to efficiently cite literature in your paper or thesis? Do you make good use of RSS, Evernote and LinkedIn? The Library provides free, time-saving  workshops about these and other subjects.
