Parking for disabled students
Roeterseiland Campus
In principle, the limited number of accessible parking spaces on the Roeterseiland campus are intended for students and staff.
Students with a (temporary) medical condition who do not have a valid disabled parking card (GPK) may be temporarily allocated an accessible parking space if one is available. In order to be eligible for an accessible parking space, please contact Facility Services via servicedesk-fs@uva.nl.This also applies to students with a GPK.
Visitors (guests of students) wishing to use an accessible parking space are requested to submit an application to Tineke Seinstra at least one week in advance via t.r.seinstra@uva.nl.
Science Park
In order to be eligible for an accessible parking space at the Science Park, please contact Facility Services via servicedesk-fs@uva.nl.
University Quarter
No special parking spaces are available at the UvA's locations in the city centre. Instead, you can use the public car parks and garages.
A valid disabled parking card (GPK) allows you to park free of charge in the accessible parking spaces of the municipality of Amsterdam. Within the municipality of Amsterdam, you can also apply for a parking card for disabled visitors/residents if you hold a GPK. This allows you to park free of charge in any paid parking space within the municipality (except the parking garages).

Parking policy
The UvA's parking policy is based on the principle that all buildings should be easily accessible by either bicycle or public transport. Accessibility by car is regarded as supplementary.
