The 2017 Robbert Dijkgraaf Essay Prize is open to students, former students and staff members of institutions of higher education in Belgium and the Netherlands.
For the sixth time New Scientist, Folia and NRC Handelsblad are awarding the Robbert Dijkgraaf Essay Prize. They are calling on academic staff, students and alumni of institutions of higher education in Belgium or the Netherlands to write an essay on the theme ‘Science in the Trump era’. What’s the role of expert knowledge and perceptions of truth in an age of alternative facts and fake news?
The winning essay will be published in New Scientist en Folia and will be awarded with a prize.
Essays can be written in Dutch or English and must be between 600 and 700 words in length. Entries must be submitted before 31 October 2017 and can be sent to email@example.com.
