No, lecturers are not authorised grant or organise special arrangements for you. The Student counsellor allocates the arrangements.
No, extra time is a separate arrangement and the Student counselor allocates this arrangement based on the disability or chronic condition. Other arrangements can be the use of a laptop or an exam in A3 format.
When you fail to cancel your special arrangements in time, you are not eligible for any arrangements for the first exam of the course in question.

When you apply for a course, you are automatically registered for the exam and for the resit. This works the same with regard to any extra arrangements.
The Student counsellor determines the period for which the arrangement is valid. This can be a short period or the entire study period, depending on the disability.
