Some of you may still be learning exactly where and what UvA Economics and Business (EB) at the Roeterseiland Campus is. Others will already know the campus like the back of their hand. There is a lot going on for everyone, with unlimited intellectual, social and personal opportunities.
Stepping onto a campus can be a bit intimidating, with its many buildings, signs and paths. But once you know your way around, there is no stopping you.
Are you easily distracted when trying to study at home? Or do you need to book a project room? The Roeterseiland Campus has four libraries (buildings A and H) and a number of nice secluded study spots (buildings ABC, J/K). The largest library with over 800 study spaces is the Library Learning Centre (building H). Here you can also find the library collections of Economics and Business and Social and Behavioural Sciences.
One of our dining locations can be found in building H next to the Library Learning Centre. Here you have an extensive choice of different cuisines from local entrepreneurs. Around campus, you can also get a coffee and snack from coffee corners, kiosks and vending machines.
Do you want to relax and hang out with your fellow students? Why not grab a cup of coffee or play a game of table football in our Economics and Business (EB) Common Room, a great place to blow off some steam.
Study associations: broaden your horizon in your field of study
Five study associations in the fields of Economics and Business will help you to make the most of your student experience. They organise various social, academic and career events. Joining one allows you to meet students from all years of your study programme and to get involved in study-related activities.
There are plenty of student associations in Amsterdam to participate in that match your interests. Find out which student association appeals to you.
Cannot find a match within student associations? You can also join a Economics and Business (EB) student community or start a community with other students who share similar hobbies or interests. Have a look at the EB Community Guide on how to start your own community.
We encourage you to actively discuss and express your opinion on matters and arrangements concerning education and student interests. You can do so by joining one of our Programme Committees (OC), the Economics and Business Student Council (FSR), the Central Student Council (CSR) or the Student Panels; panels of students of every programme and year.
