'It is a challenging programme, teaching you both hard and soft skills'
Anouk Roethof - International Economics and Globalisation track
'I chose the UvA because it is the only university in the Netherlands with an MSc in Economics that perfectly blends my two passions: economics and policy analysis.'
'It is a challenging programme, teaching you both hard and soft skills. Expect to learn models, improve writing skills and even enhance your own teaching skills. With students being open to meet others, you will have a good time while working on assignments together. Also, there is little distance between students and professors, which makes it easy to approach professors.'
'I enjoy studying here. The UvA faculties house in historic and new buildings, all located in the heart of Amsterdam. Cycling between them sometimes make me feel I am on a sightseeing tour myself. The international and open-minded city allows you to be yourself. Besides this, it is easy to get in touch with companies who are ready to take in international graduates.'
'I will probably start with either a PhD or a traineeship after graduation. Whichever it will be, I intend to help countries reform their economic policies to get them back to economic prosperity.'
