Important: New course registration system GLASS
The course registration for the programs in Communication Science will be different this time than you are used to. We participate in a pilot procedure and take place in a new system called GLASS. This system has the big advantage that it doesn't work with the 'first come, first serve' principle anymore. All students who have registered themselves within the course registration period will have the same chance to be placed in a specific course.
Step-by-step guide to course registration
-
Step 1: Make sure you have an active Studielink enrolment
Make sure your enrolment for the Research Master’s programme in Studielink for the academic year 2022-2023 is active.
Enrolling in Studielink requires a DigiD. If you apply for a DigiD or make any changes to it, you will receive an activation code within 5 days. Also, once you have enrolled via Studielink, it may take up to 48 hours before you can register for courses. For this reason, we strongly recommend you to request re-enrolment at least one week before the start of the course registration period.
If you don’t have an active Studielink enrolment, you will most likely not be able to register for your preferred electives. Most students will still have an active enrolment. However, if you took a break between your studies, make sure you re-enrol.

Step 2: Find courses and add to planning board

Repeat these steps for all courses. Your registration for these courses will be processed on 1 July.
You can also add courses by clicking on '+Add course' on your planning board. You will have to fill in the Course catalogue number, which you will find in the Course Catalogue.
-

Make sure you check if you are registered for all courses in your studyplan, which take place in Semester 1 of year 2022-2023.
-
Step 7: You receive an email when your registration has been processed.
Please log into GLASS to find out in which tutorial you have been placed.
-
Optional: Choose timeslots when you prefer not to follow any education.
Optional: you will be able to use the clock icon in the registration column to designate up to 2 half days when you would prefer not to follow any education. Where possible, this will be taken into account when allocating students to courses and tutorials.
