Reach your connections.

Finding a suitable internship or job requires more than searching for vacancies on job boards and in journals.

It requires talking to people to get information about your labour market and formulate your questions about:

• The trends in my field
• The characteristics of a specific job
• How to be visible to decision makers
• The procedure to hire people

  • Date and time

This online workshop - in one session - is offered on:

    • Tuesday, 7 April 2020, from 14:00-15:30
    • Tuesday, 9 June 2020, from 15:00-16:30

This workshop is also offered during the UvA Career Skills Week from 3 to 7 February 2020. The precise data are to follow.

The workshop is held in English and is intended for both international and Dutch students. There is also a version held in Dutch: Netwerken.

  • The workshop Networking

Of all available job vacancies roughly 20% can be found directly in the so-called open labour market. Talking to people about their jobs and about where to find vacancies is key to open up more possibilities. During this workshop you will learn to effectively utilise your relationships with others, both on- and offline.
