We are working hard on the construction of Lab42. What has been done in the past week and what will happen this week?
In week 39 (21 - 26 September), work has continued on the foundation work, the finishing of the bulkhead shed and the parking lot.
In week 40 (28 September - 2 October) work will start on the temporary sheet pile wall. A temporary sheet pile wall must be installed to create the deeper parts (lift pit, gray water and sprinkler basin, etc.).
This sheet pile wall is not applied with a traditional vibratory hammer, but the sheet pile planks are pressed. Compared to the traditional technique, this method is low-vibration and produces considerably less noise and vibrations. Ultimately, heavy equipment is needed for this, so these activities will not be without inconvenience.
