A memo has been drawn up, with an overview of initiatives taken to strengthen social safety from 2019 to 2021 and improvement actions to be implemented in 2021.

Partly as a result of concrete casuistry, a number of (partly external) experts have been asked to examine the functioning of the existing social safety system within the UvA. The recommendations and advice of the Social Safety Taskforce, the External Social Safety Committee, the representative advisory bodies, the Senate, the Chief Diversity Office (CDO) and various other bodies were reflected.

The work plan that has been drawn up on the basis of the various recommendations provides clarity about the steps still to be taken, including a timeline. This plan will be further specified and implemented with the UvA community. The social safety coordinator is involved in the implementation and coherence of the initiatives.
