Continue or another choice
Are you currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme at the UvA and doubting if this is the right programme for you? Or did you terminate your enrolment and are you orientating on a different Bachelor’s programme. Are your studies not progressing as you had hoped. Perhaps you are at risk of being issued with a negative BSA?
The next step might be to look into alternative study programmes, with our help.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, several application deadlines for Bachelor’s programmes have been moved. Check the university websites for updates. If you have already studied at Uva, you can apply for another study until 31 August.
Get started
This Switching Bachelors: step by step plan will help you make an informed choice when changing Bachelor’s programmes. The initial assignments will help you gain insight into your qualities, wishes and interests. You will be provided with tips on how to gather information about degree programmes in the Netherlands and how to make a final choice.
If you need additional guidance after completing the step-by-step guide, you can contact the UvA Student Careers Centre.
The training Help with Study Doubts is in Dutch only. It takes place over three half-days and it’s offered monthly, from October to April.
Please note
We offer the assignments and tests from this training in an individual appointment for international students, because the situation and background of international students is usually too multifaceted for the training. Please make an appointment if you are interested.
Take a study choice test and discuss your results with a career adviser. Your interests will be linked to degree programmes throughout the Netherlands and it will give you insights into the possible jobs and sectors. This test and evaluation are free of charge. Are you interested in taking a test? Please contact us here.
We offer counselling for UvA students that are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme. Or, if you already quit your Bachelor’s programme at the UvA. Our service is free of charge.
Note for non-EU students: Are you a non-EU student with less than 30 ECTS? Please contact the student counsellors for questions regarding your VISA, BSA and your options.
Would you like to individually discuss your questions about your study choice or switching degree programmes with a student counsellor? Or would you like to take a study choice test and evaluate it? Please feel free to contact us:
