Email is an official means of communication at the UvA. It is important that email delivery is reliable. Therefore, the UvA-mailbox is the primary channel for communication. From Monday, May 3rd onwards Canvas will send messages and notifications to your UvA-email address (email@example.com).
From this email address, messages and notifications will be forwarded to your correspondence (private) email address. If you want to cancel this automatic forwarding, visit this page for instructions.
You can use the Canvas Inbox for replying to messages as per usual. However, From Monday, May 3rd onwards, you can only reply to a notification email from your UvA-mailbox. If you want to reply from your private mailbox, you have to register your private email address in Canvas as well. Make sure also to configure your notification settings to avoid receiving emails twice. You can find more information on how to change these settings here. Or you can watch this video.
FeedbackFruits will still send notifications to your private email address. Do you want to receive those notifications on your UvA-email address? In that case, all you have to do is to open a FeedbackFruits assignment once.
